Jess spends her working life between both the veterinary hospital and hydrotherapy centre. Her qualifications consist of a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management and a BSc(Hons) Zoo Biology from which she graduated in 2017. Since graduating, Jess worked in biomedical research at Oxford University as well as volunteering overseas as a Research Assistant with Operation Wallacea in Madagascar, before wanting to be closer to home.
Once home, Jess started working at Myerscough Vets as a receptionist, before moving on to nights as an ECC Nursing Assistant, then OOH Supervisor, before moving to her current role. As of September, Jess will begin training to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
Jess has a 10-year-old Mastiff cross called Rita, and although she has a keen interest in exotics, she doesn’t currently own any.
In her spare time, Jess can either be found gaming, exploring with Rita or visiting zoos and aquaria.
